General Requirements
At least 18 years old.
Ability to attend virtual meetings, at least once per quarter.
Prepare for, and actively engage in, meetings and other Board business.
Role: Board Director — Sitting on the full Board of Directors, each member is elected by their peer Directors. Directors hold the corporation accountable and oversee our general mission and vision, as well as guiding our programmatic work. Directors hire and manage the CEO, establish an annual budget, and appoint members to committees, among other important duties.
Role: Community Advisory Member — Members on the Community Advisory Committee act as an important source of feedback for the corporation and its social media platform. These individuals are community leaders, professionals, experts, and those eager to share feedback and ideas to the Board. All members are appointed by the Board and serve at its pleasure.
Role: Fundraising Advisory Member — Members on the Fundraising Advisory Committee provide philanthropic support to the corporation and the Board. They help organize and brainstorm ways to engage donors, corporations, and other organizations, as well as how to increase giving. All members are appointed by the Board and serve at its pleasure.
Role: Public Policy Advisory Member — Members on the Public Policy Advisory Committee provide suggestions, insights, and feedback on potential impacts from legal, regulatory, and policy changes to nonprofit corporations and social media technology in a rapidly changing world. All members are appointed by the Board and serve at its pleasure.
