  • You’ve probably seen other platforms on the news time and time again for engaging in reckless behavior, undermining consumer rights, and jeopardizing our democracy. Our app is different because we are taking bold stances against what is the “good” business model: we are banning corporate advertising, deemphasizing controversial content, and orienting your experience around your community.

    We believe the future of social media is based around a positive experience with those who use the app. For us, they are not products—they are our family, and we believe in getting back to the roots of social media: simply connecting people with the communities around them. This is why we do not refer to them as “users”, but rather “creators”—creating positive and engaging content.

  • Simple: we exist for public good! Everything we do is in the best interest of our content creators, and not investors or shareholders. This helps us protect you and your data.

    We are also a pending applicant for 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, and expect a decision mid-2024. In the meantime, we can accept non-tax deductible donations.

  • nenos is available for download on the App Store. We are also planning for an eventual Android release of the app.

  • Word of mouth! If you think nenos is something you might enjoy (or do enjoy), tell your friends — and ask them to tell their friends. nenos will work best when the people in your community, who you love, are using it.

  • Probably. It’s about time the big social networks got a run for their money. They’ve acquired a whole lot of power over the past decade and haven’t had to answer for it. In fact, with the exception of TikTok, the last successful social network startup was Snapchat — and that was about a decade ago.
