Rebuilding the Internet for People, Not Profit.

We’re creating nonprofit tech platforms that give power back to communities.

Meet Rosa.

She had to apply for healthcare but couldn’t.

Rosa, a 67-year-old retired nurse, needed to reapply for Medicaid online. She had a smartphone but didn’t know how to download files or fill out a form on her screen. She gave up in frustration and missed the deadline.

Even when older adults have devices, many lack the digital skills needed to access critical services like healthcare, jobs, and public benefits. Digital Roots bridges that gap.

We’re building Digital Roots to offer free, accessible webinars and teach skills that help people safely navigate the internet, apply for jobs, and access essential services without fear or shame.

Meet Thomas.

His newsfeed told him what to think.

Thomas, a high school student, spent hours online every day. What he saw most were ads, outrage, and misinformation, not posts from friends or events in his neighborhood. The platforms weren’t built for his well-being. They were built to exploit him and his data.

Research, government investigations, and whistleblowers have revealed malicious and harmful for-profit social media business practices that hurt our mental health, get us addicted, and harm society.

We created Bloom Social to offer something new to the world. It's a nonprofit social platform where creators connect with real people, real places, and real ideas, without being manipulated by algorithms.
