Board Member Spotlight: Austin Jones

We here at nenos want to better introduce you to our illustrious board members. Welcome to the new segment we like to call Board Member Spotlights!

For our first spotlight, meet Austin Jones, one of our Advisory board members. Our resident bookworm is studying to obtain two bachelor's degrees, one in Human Resource Management and Accountancy. 

What are you planning to do, Austin?

“I am working towards becoming a CPA, and I will be working for RSM in Austin, TX working in the audit sector.”

What brought you to nenos? 

“I have not known Sam (co-founder) for a very long time, but we got close extremely quick. When he told me about nenos, I did not really know what to think. However, when he explained the concept, I knew it was something that I wanted to be a part of.”

What’s your hot take on modern social media practices?

“Social media is a resource that can have both positive and negative effects on our lives. I think that social media needs a sort of "revamp." We are more connected than ever before, yet we rarely talk to one another. Social media should not be a platform full of pain and hate. We need to get connected to each other and the world around us.

Tell me Austin, what do you do outside of work and academia?

“I love working out, shopping, reading, and anything close to water.”
