January 2022 Development Updates

It’s been a few weeks now since we launched nenos on the App Store, and there’s been a lot we’ve been working on to make sure the app is working as good as possible.
For those who have been experiencing some technical difficulties on nenos, we are so thankful for trying out the network and being patient. Starting a new social media platform isn’t easy, especially with a team as small as ours working on nenos in our spare time. So–truly, thank you!
When we released nenos on the App Store in December, we learned that some people were having some technical issues with signing-in and signing-up, as well as identifying some other areas for improvement. We were excited to release Patch 1.0.1 in mid-January, which contained some important new features and bug fixes:
  • Creators can now block others on the app and hide their content
  • Utilizing the Report feature will prompt content for moderation
  • New bug fixes including signing-in, increased reliability, and generally smoother experiences
We understand that some folks are still having some issues with previous bugs that have not been resolved, and we’re working hard to fix these completely. If you continue to have difficulty accessing the app—such as creating an account or logging in—please contact us at support@nenos.one and we’ll be sure to flag your feedback!
Right now, nenos is definitely a work-in-progress and we have a ton of features planned to enhance your experience creating on the platform. Some of these features are considered more immediate, whereas others will be implemented further down the road. Our current priority development focus is on these key items:
  • Fixing outstanding bugs and glitches that are preventing access to the platform
  • Creating an onboarding experience to help orient new creators with app features and designing a profile
  • The ability for folks to create written content, such as short updates or longer essays
We’re just at the beginning of building the app, and we’re so proud of the work that we have done so far. We're also incredibly appreciative of the feedback we've received from the creators on the platform, and enjoy seeing all of the new content being posted! Thank you to those who have been on this journey with us, and welcome to the community for those who are new!
