March 2022 Development Updates

It’s been a while, but we’ve been hard at work building a better functioning app for all of our content creators. 

Fun fact: it takes a lot of work to build a new social media platform from the ground up! It’s even harder when we operate with such a small team. While this means it may take a little longer to get out updates and fixes than the giant companies, we are able to more easily adapt to changes and identify and fix glitches. With that being said, we have some exciting updates that have come from the latest update to the nenos app:

PROFILES

• You can now sign out of your profile! No more permanently being logged-in.

• We have fixed several issues with signing-in.

• There’s now a more reliable sign-up feature, including the ability to see if a handle has already been taken.

• You can now unfollow other users! 

• We’ve redesigned the profile screen if you are now signed-out.

SETTINGS & ACCOUNTS

• You can now see what email or phone number is connected with your account.

• Resetting your password from the Settings screen is now possible.

• Creators can now manually reset the app’s cache if they are having issues loading or refreshing content, or need to clean up storage space.

BUG FIXES

• Following is now more reliable for our creators, and liking posts works consistently. 

• Comments made on other posts are now published instantly!

• Creators without profile pictures will now have a default photo appear in the Now feed.

• Feed refreshing works properly so you can now better view fresh content.

• Posts with locations tagged now properly show expandable location details.
